Who is Mary Young?
I’ve been told on more than one occasion that I’m an anomaly - which I take as a compliment. I like to think of myself as a jack of all trades when it comes to creativity and entrepreneurship, as well as a 60 year old woman trapped in the body of a 26 year old. I love creativity and it fuels so much of my life, but I also need the analytical and rational side of things to stay sane. Aside from work I love to go to bed early, do puzzles and workout - oh and the occasional dinner and drinks out with friends!
How does the Kimono fit into your wardrobe/lifestyle?
I’m a layering queen, mostly because my temperature fluctuates like this summer’s weather. I like to feel cozy and have an option to wrap up without carrying around a huge sweater. The kimono is the perfect solution for that. I can take it with me when I’m on the go and the structured shape is extremely flattering with every piece I own, which is also so important as I try to keep a relatively refined wardrobe with a less is more attitude.
What do you love the most about Bare Knitwear?
The biggest thing I love how every garment is ethically produced. In today’s world everything is designed and produced with speed in mind, which translates to cutting corners and not being open about how/where things are made. The fact every garment is made with such care and detail makes me proud to wear a Bare Knitwear piece.
